Everyone loves free stuff, and everyone loves ringtones. The good news is that it is possible to download free ringtones from the Internet, which should really please a lot of people. And it does. There are different reasons people are attracted to ringtones, though the majority of cell phone users love the idea of having different songs play for different people when they call. This is not only a great way of letting us know who is calling but it can also promote positive feelings and create a welcoming hello when the caller’s song is associated with a particularly happy memory.

This is true for romantic partners as well as for other loved ones including family and friends. If your best friend loves Cyndi Lauper’s song Girls Just Want to Have Fun and it reminds you of a fabulous Las Vegas trip you took together, then those memories and great feelings might come about every time she calls and Cyndi sings. Of course the opposite could be true if you’ve recently experienced a bad break up and your ringtone song for your ex boyfriend is The Cure’s Love Song . The Internet is full of great ringtone offers and you can do a lot with them, just be sure to remove any romantic songs immediately after any breakup and go back to the Lauper.

The state of California is very big and beautiful with many things to see and cities that are vacant destinations for many travelers year round. Places such as San Diego with its wonderful weather, San Francisco with its huge hills and the Golden Gate Bridge, Los Angeles home of the world champion Lakers, and Hollywood which is home to the stars to name a few. However, California has much more to offer and some of the smaller lesser know places have some very interesting sights and things to do as well. Modesto has some great hotels available for those who are passing through and would like to stay and experience the wonder of Modesto.

In spring 2001, the architectural planning began to create a new community treasure that would go on to be called the Gallo Center of the Arts. The Gallo Center of the Arts is a performing arts center that would turn out to be one of the most important downtown projects in the history of Modesto. Beginning in the spring of 2004 construction of a premier civic complex began in the center of this leading agricultural region. The programs at the Gallo Center for the Arts are designed to incorporate the diverse culture and background of the people of Modesto California, their interests, diverse backgrounds, and history of the people that call the Central Valley their home. It is going to be a landmark in the region for years and years to come. The Gallo Center for the Arts opened in the fall 2007.

LA Songs

03-30-10

Easy enough to get caught up holding the memory of you in my hands, a small piece of fabric that once belonged to your shirt, the piece you tore and gave to me one night. These long stories have got to stop, because I can’t remember all the details, and I keep feeding things into the margins hoping you see and remember. And you do see and you do remember.

The first light that caught my attention was over the mountain and around a corner, and I thought that we’d arrived, in that City of Angels, and I wanted to wake you up, but you were already awake and in truth I don’t think you’d been asleep for a couple of days, nor do I think you would remember. The light from the city, I thought we were there but we were still on the edges of West Covina, and you would have laughed and maybe did but I don’t remember.

Our theme song, our special song, was LA Woman that year, and I dedicated it over and over in my head to you, enough so that I dedicated my head to you, until one morning I knew it was time to take it back. You never learned how to take care of things, especially not gifts, and especially ones that were given without any thought to whether it was something you would like or not.

I gave exceedingly and selfishly, and to do it over again, would still look the same. Maybe it’s Under the Bridge , but I still remember it, every little detail, and everything that was wrong. Even more than I remember the moments where we were holding hands and acting stupid in public places.

So this time, when it’s a return, an elegant return, and the best hotels Los Angeles can offer are at our feet, there is a history in your eyes that sings to me through the music, and through all the broken glass from the past, there are shiny things in the future, things that don’t cut, don’t rust, and never fall apart.

Madison Square Garden, also commonly known and referred to as the Garden is located in Manhattan. It is one of the most famous arenas in the country, and for that matter even the world. It has been billed as the most famous arena in the world and that is not an exaggeration. For many artists, performing at the Garden is th pinnacle of their career, and it means that they have arrived. Many of the tourists who visit the city and stay in one of the top New York city hotels will see a performance of some kind or sporting event during their stay.

This was certainly true for Barbara who went to New York with her friend Kim. One of, if not the primary reason for their visit was to go attend a performance by the Rolling Stones at the Garden. They were in their early 20s at the time and the Stones were their favorite band. New York happened to be their favorite city, though they had each only been there one time before, so combing these favorites guaranteed them to have the trip of a lifetime.

The concert took play in May during the Stones’ A Bigger Bang World Tour. Barbara and Kim were both raised on the Stone’s music and though they were generations apart in age, they both had an enormous crush on Mick Jagger. Just about the only area the two of them disagree regarding the Rolling Stones is on their favorite songs. Barbara loves Gimme Shelter while Kim’s favorite is Paint It Black. They listened to the Stone’s on their way to the Garden, and just as they expected and hoped it would be, that night was absolutely amazing. Not only do the Rolling Stones put on a great performance, they are amazing musicians and most of their music has formed the background of much of the audience’s lives.

When Henry and Steve decided to take a trip to South Africa, they were extremely interested in seeing African art as it was being made and even possibly to make some purchases. They always had a tremendous respect for African cultural, performance, music and the visual arts and neither one of them had been to the country before. So, when they decided to go, it was much more than a simple vacation, it was actually related to passions they both had and wanted to explore further.

The visit started off an a great foot and they really enjoyed the accommodations provided one of the South Africa five star hotels in which they stayed. In addition the staff was all extremely friendly and helpful in directing them to some of the local arts and crafts displays and open markets. Henry was primarily interested in masks, and loved some of the symbolism behind them. Most often the masks are representative of the regional or tribal heritage from which they originate. The expressions seen on them are also indicative of certain social attitudes and responsibilities. Henry was happy to find three new masks that he was able to buy and thought would go great with his collection.

Steve loves the bold use of colors that are often used in African paintings. He was primarily looking to find something by a local artist that would be significant to both his trip and also the region around Cape Town. However, what he ended up finding, and this was almost by accident, were some incredible depictions of animals by the Tanzanian artist Said Tinga Tinga. He was so captivated by two paintings, both of them had elephants as their subjects that he went ahead and purchased them. In addition, they were so intrigued by some of the local musicians that were out playing, they thought they would look into getting some drums on their next trip.

As far as that gorgeous combination of heavenly beaches and lively nighttime fun goes, Ibiza is perhaps the number one spot in the world.  It offers limitless fun in the sun, and there are plenty of fascinating places on the other side of the island, where you can check out a new club, or look for sites where you can see traces of the times when the Romans were here.  It’s easy with Ibiza car rentals, which can offer you the additional luxury of seeing the island at your own pace.  You and your guests will enjoy getting to know all the main roads and the side stops in Ibiza, finding your rhythms here, and discovering the heartbeat of the beach as well as the city.

For nightlife, there really is nothing like this anywhere.  Ibiza has some of the hottest clubs, and features some of the hottest djs in the world.  It’s easy to get lost in an evening, dancing the night away while the dj spins some fantastic international beats.  You may already know about DJ Stephanie, but you’ll certainly know her after you’ve spent some time in Ibiza.  There are few evenings that could be better than driving around the gorgeous island and looking at the scenery, taking in some guided tours, sampling the local food, and ending the evening in a club where she’s spinning the records.

She’s been having a pretty fantastic run of it during the last couple of years.  She was born in Vincenza, Italy, and her father was also a dj, so she learned the art from him.  In 2006 she started playing out in clubs, and the rise was pretty meteoric.  She plays all over Europe, and is one of the most sought-after djs at the hottest clubs here, one of the main centers for the kinds of music she spins.  She plays all kinds of electronic and techno, but her deepest heart gets to express its peculiar rhythms and turns when she is playing hardstyle.  It’s a hard act to follow and makes for an impressive night in Ibiza.
